Should Be
I wrote something this week that I had intended to post this morning.
I don’t like it (what I wrote). It felt “preachy”.
(search / cut and past)
adjective
Inclined or given to tedious and excessive moralizing; didactic.
Tending toward excessive moralization.
Inclined to or marked by tedious moralization.
Check, check, check. All of those things. “Preachy”.
Not that it wasn’t good, good thoughts, good ideas, good intentions;
but - that’s not the guy I want to be.
I didn’t “can it”, but I’ll shelve it. At the very least, “let it rest”.

I don’t know why people get pants and panties bunched on things like this.
C and I had lives before we met. I’m guessing that you did too.
It’s OK to talk about it. It is for us. (Old girlfriends, old guy friends. History. Part of a life.)
My first girlfriend said she liked the way I was moving at the roller-skating rink.
Sadie Hawkins was called. She asked me to skate with her.
I remember that the roller-skating rink also had a tiny dance floor.
She asked me to dance with her and I told her, “I can’t dance. I don’t know how to dance.”
She said, “it’s easy, c’mon, I’ll show you”. She pulled me onto the tiny roller-skating rink dancefloor. We danced.
She was right. It’s easy. (You just have to let go; let the music take you. Stop caring. Start dancing.)
She was right.
She got me started. I never stopped. (Never want to stop.)
“We should be dancing Yeah. We should be dancing. Yeah.”
(Bee Gees, song lyric)
