Are you ready? Do you want to go swimming with me?
Deep end. Deep, deep, twenty thousand leagues under the sea - deep.
Mariana Trench - deep. (Oh my.)
Turn back if you’re not up for this. You don’t have to do this, if you don’t want to.
I don’t want to coerce, or push, or bully anyone to go places where they don’t want to go.
OK, you’re coming?
Last chance to turn back. (You’ve been warned.)
You’re IN?
Great. Welcome to the Navy. We want you. We want you.
No turning back now.
^^^^^
You are about to enter another dimension. The dimension of imagination.
Sign post up ahead.
A land you never knew. Probably never thought about.
Did you just wake up? Go grab some coffee. Wake up. Wake up.
You just crossed over, truely, into another dimension. You are in a place where you’ve never been before.
Mind, body, spirit…
How much have you taken - for granted?
Was your head always off somewhere, dreaming, floating in the sky?
Were you forever looking back, over your shoulder, slipping backwards into your rearview mirror?
Well, whatever, no matter. That’s all over with now - - - Mr Blue Sky, Miss Regret.
You just crossed a line.
Today, it is, it really is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life.
^^^^^
OK - now the Bad News. Are you ready for the bad news?
?
<
?
<
?
<
Today… today is also - your LAST day.
Today IS - the Last Day - of - the Rest of Your Life.
You just stepped into your NOW, Bub, Blondy. Or should I say, you fell into it.
Time’s up Buster Brown, Kimmy K.
Twenty Four, Mr Blue Sky, Miss Regret.
Twenty Four - - - that’s all You Got.
But wait - there’s more.
More you say - Scott? (channeling - born in Syracuse - Rod Serling)
Yeah, Buddy Boy - there's more.
It’s NOT just you.
You’ve seen the - just one of us - one at a time, one at a time - story before.
This time fellah, fraulein…
This Time… It’s All of Us. (One for All and All for One.)
This time, like it or not, we are ONE, UNO, EINS, one nation, one world, indivisible - under God.
This time - we all hang together. (There is no out. No way out.)
(Levee Break - Cryin’ won’t help you. Prayin’ won’t do you no good. - - - Led Zeppelin)
Twenty Four - for all of us. Tick Tock, not social media. Put that shit down.
Twenty Four - right now - NOW
Brothers and Sisters - time to stop worrying about pronouns
Twenty Four…
That’s all we’ve got.
All we’ve got is one and another and together - twenty four.
>>>>>
Imagine no possessions.
I wonder if you can.
No need for greed for hunger.
A brotherhood of man.
(John Lennon; October 9, 1940 - December 8, 1980; cause of death = murder)
“Imagine”
A John Lennon song, a good one…
Is that what my world of imagination - last twenty four might look like?
Or, does that last day turn into some dystopian Walking Dead, Hunger Games nightmare?
All the hate you can spit, all the revenge you can dish out, all the rage you’ve been bottling and saving up.
Come and get it. Leave nothing on the table (Rambo). No restraint. Let it all out.
Good God.
?????
Heaven?
- or Hell on Earth?
Subtract your time
The Announcer, the Big Public Address Speaker in the Sky blurts out
“One Minute Left to Play” (equals twenty four, earth time - one more spin)
No more time.
Love or Hate, either way..
subtract your money and your stuff.
We’re all going down - together.
Your money and your stuff - all of it
It’s worthless.
(You heard me. Your treasure and your toys. All Of It. Worthless.)
So now what?
What do you do - with your last Twenty Four
What does THAT look like?

Last week I wrote about a day forty five years back in my time. I took you for a ride in my time machine. (I shared - a day from my past.)
This week, I kept waking up - thinking - why not flip that same coin? I’ve been thinking about a day forty five years plus. Hey Scott - why not take the old time machine out for a spin, dial it in
May 5, 2069
Forty five (years) - into the future
Me, my plan, I’ll be feeding fishies. One fish, two fish, red and blue fish, Scott fish. Swimming with the fishies.
Ashes, that’s what I want. A ride around the world. Gulf Stream (water, not jet).
SouthernMost Point, Key West - point of debarkation (If all goes to plan, my first and last cruise. Care to join?)
But, my story today - my Sci Fi, whatever it is?
It’s an unfinished thought. (That’s what it really is. Just sugar, to go with medicine. Make it go down.)
A thought about legacy. What will I leave behind? (Not the stuff, but More)
What might I do today - with my Nows (however many I might have left)
To leave the world with more (John) Lennon, and less Hunger Games?
Abade - Abade - Abade - - - That’s All Folks. (Porky Pig)
Gotta Go.
Ta Ta (Kurt Vonnegut)

Me and Mr Limpet (old movie reference), Scott + Fish
Oneida Lake, on the back of my Great Friend Ben’s boat.
Ben loves fishing and I love hanging with my Friend Ben,
drinking beer and being on the water.
(If a fish wants to grab my hook, well… bonus)
I cannot help but be reminded that if you stare into the void, it stares back. The measure of a person is taken by their ability to receive that black and cold gaze without flinching.
What is meaning? It is whatever we create it to be. We share it. We bleed it. We sweat it. We jizz it out (is that okay to say?). Meaning is the dance floor upon which we all interact. We swim in each other’s meaning.
In the end, it is at once both the empty void, and the glorious symphony of life and love. The center CAN hold! [ode to Yeats]
